GIANNA SPANO

Gianna Spano began her formal dance training at the age of eight, exploring ballet, jazz, contemporary, and modern dance. Over the years, she has trained at the University of Arizona, Florida School for Dance Education, and Dreyfoos School of the Arts, learning from esteemed instructors like Christopher Compton, Tyce Diorio, Branndi Lewis, and Maria Konrad.

Throughout her dance journey, Gianna has performed in a diverse range of works, from classical ballets such as Les Sylphides and The Nutcracker to contemporary pieces by choreographers including Troy Powell, Jon Lehrer, and Solomon Dumas. She has always sought opportunities to deepen her dance experience, whether performing in ensemble pieces, taking on leading roles, or working behind the scenes as the Student Board Historian for Dance Theater of Florida.

In addition to performing, Gianna has a passion for teaching and has worked as a dance and acrobatics instructor, sharing her love of movement with younger students. She is currently continuing her education at Palm Beach State College while teaching at the Performing Arts Academy.

Gianna’s dedication has been recognized with awards for Outstanding Artistry in All Dance Concentrations and Outstanding Achievement in Modern & Contemporary Dance. Outside the studio, she enjoys spending time with family, being outdoors, and finding creative ways to bring joy to her students. Gianna hopes to inspire her students to embrace their individuality, find confidence in their movement, and develop a lifelong love of dance.
